THERESA MARIE NYSTROM (McMillan) (nee Kerbrat) July 17, 1925 - July 30, 2004 "ABSENT FROM THE BODY, PRESENT WITH THE LORD" Peacefully on July 30, 2004 with family by her side, Terry went to eternal rest and to join her beloved husband of 52 years, Henry Nystrom. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Rhonda (Larry), Sandra (Greig) grandchildren, Chad (Charlene), Dawn (Dan) great-grandchildren, Zachary, Kristjan and Erik; her brother Frank (Joyce) and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her second husband, Don McMillan. Terry was born and raised in Camper, MB. In 1945 she married Henry and they moved to Mulvihill, MB where together they raised their two daughters and managed a small dairy farm. Terry had a great love for people and enjoyed attending social events and dances, where she and Henry won many local competitions. She was a kind and gentle person, who devoted her life to family and friends. After moving to Winnipeg in 1966, she worked at Kentchs Grocery on Portage Avenue, until the store closed and she retired at age 65. Terry had a "green thumb" and loved gardening, tending her many flowers with love and care. Her family and many good friends called her a "dear lady" and will remember her smile and her sense of humour. The family would like to acknowledge the devotion of her dear friend Irene Smith, and all the ladies at the United Church Womens Association in Brandon, whom she cherished and received much spiritual strength from. Sincere thanks to the staff of Charleswood Care Centre in Winnipeg, especially Melanie, and the nurses on Ward 5, at the Grace Hospital for their kindness and compassion. Mom loved flowers! In her honour buy yourself a bouquet and enjoy them, or if you wish donations may be made in Terrys memory to your favourite charity. Funeral service at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday August 3 at the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. MB. 204-885-9715 Pastor Robert ONeil officiating. Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca
