Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRIEDL SIMEONIDIS 1911 - 2004 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Friedl Simeonidis wife of Konstantin (Stan), on July 29, at Golden Door Nursing Home, at the age of 93. She will be missed by her loving husband of almost 60 years; her children, Fred, Chris, Undine and Gustav; grandchildren, Barb (Boyd), Christine, David, Janice, Samantha and Nick and great-granddaughter, Zoe. Her daughter Vivian, predeceased her mother in 2000. Friedl lived a very full life. She was born in Russia in 1911 and as a child moved to Estonia which she left in 1941 for Germany. From there she and Stan and the family immigrated to Canada in 1955 where her husband and she built a successful business and life for their family in Winnipeg. Friedl was an ultimate survivor and always did whatever was necessary to provide for her family. Her diligence, energy, love and generosity will be missed by all. The family wishes to thank the extraordinary staff at Golden Door Nursing Home where Friedl spent her last four years. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 4 at 10:30 a.m. at the Portage Avenue Mennonite Brethren Church, 1420 Portage Ave. If friends desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or to a charity of your choice.
