CAROL LORRAINE WHITWORTH (nee LONGLEY) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Lorraine Whitworth on Monday, July 26, 2004 at the age of 67. Carol is survived by her son Stephen; daughter Nancy and son-in-law Brunel Delorme; grandson Alexander; sister June King; nephews Robert, John, David, and Graham Crookes; aunt Doris Roy; cousins, Bevis Bird, Pat Copeland, Jim Roy, Doug Roy, Judy Taylor, Albert Billaney and Eileen Kowalchuk. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Carol spent many years teaching in the Fort Garry, St. Vital and Louis Riel School Divisions until September, 2003. Many students have benefited from her insight and dedication to their education. In her youth Carol had success in badminton at the Wildewood Club and was very active with choirs and music at St. Pauls Anglican church. Carol was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was there for loved ones. She really touched the hearts of all who knew her. Family and friends will miss her unique sense of humour and loyalty. She showed exemplary courage during her illness this past year. A private family service has taken place and a celebration of Carols life will be held at Armadale Hollows Apartment Reception Lounge, 1750 Pembina Hwy., Building #2, on Tuesday, August 3 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Special thanks to Dr. Permack, the caring staff of the 3rd floor and the Oncology Department of Victoria General Hospital.
