She leaves also her sister Sandra (Paul) Sutton of Southend on Sea Essex England; and two stepsisters, Rosemarie (Phil) Hotten of Phoenix, and Margaret (Jim) Willis of Westcliff on Sea Essex England; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves a longtime dear friend Del (Rick) Brydges who she had shared many good times with. Her parents, Ruby and Arthur and in-laws, Mary and Clarence predeceased her. Her brother Barry Wells of England also predeceased her. Barb was born in London in 1937 but when the blitz was on in England Her Family moved to Southend on Sea Essex, England where she did her schooling and had many friends at South Church School for Girls. After finishing school she took up hairdressing but found it not to her liking. She lived in New Zealand for a few years but it was too far away from family and friends. She came to Canada where she eventually met her soul mate Brian and they had 30 years of love and good times together. She was active in many adventures during her life, some of them being a clown with Brian and they were known as Smiles and Chuckles and entertained at many childrens parties and company picnics. She and Brian had an antique shop for 10 years and enjoyed the company of many associates when they were members of the Manitoba Antique Association. They also ran a Hot Dog Stand for a year and enjoyed the company of the regular clients who often visited them. They raised 125 pounds of drink tabs to go towards the purchase of wheelchairs for the disabled. She was always busy doing craft works such as knitting, sewing, and repairing and making lampshades. She also made period dresses of the time of elegance in fashion. She was a devout Christian who believed that God was the Creator and said daily prayers for those less fortunate than herself and was always an inspiration to people with little or no hope. Her beliefs have raised her on high in Gods Sanctuary and she is doing work for him in the eternal garden. She was very proud of her garden at home and had all the flowers from England and many roses, which she nurtured over the years. Her garden was a showcase with many small sections of flowers that bloomed continually during the summer. She often went with her husband Brian and her daughter Sharon to the English Gardens at Assiniboine Park to see the beauty and what flowers she could add to her own garden. Barb and Brian loved dancing and had hours of good times with friends. Her daughter Sharon, son Slade and daughter-in-law Kathy were always there when we needed them to do odd jobs around the house. To all the kind people who helped to look after her, from the time she was first diagnosed with cancer to those who cared for her during her last days the family owes a debt of gratitude. We would like to especially thank Dr. Peter Warren for his kindness and compassion, and the wonderful staff at Riverview Health Centre. Santa sends his regards and will keep in touch with you. God grant thy servant Barbara a place in your garden. Keep her safe from all foes when St. Peter asks her what she likes to do, She will say let me work in your beautiful garden so others can see the glorious works on earth. The family requests no flowers. • I met Barb Sanderson, twenty three years ago. She was a kind and gracious lady, who had the compassion to listen with a caring heart. She offered much wisdom and knowledge. I had great respect for her. After I relocated to Alberta we lost contact with one another. I never knew how to reach her and say I had survived my illness. I will always cherish meeting her. - Posted by: Cory Berton (friend ) on: Jul 24, 2017
