ALLAN SCHROEDER Allan passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 31, 2004 at the River East Personal Care Home following a lengthy illness. Allan was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Janet; daughter, Nadine; his brother, Bert (Eva) and their children. Allan was a gifted handyman who spent his working years teaching drafting at Red River College. Well-liked among his students, he always had time to lend a helping hand. After being diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease at a young age, Allan made a commitment to the cause. He was a founding member of the first Parkinsons organization in Winnipeg and dedicated his efforts to the education and support of others living with the condition. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at River East Personal Care Home for the care given to Allan over the years. Flowers are gratefully declined.
