SANDRA BIRNIE It is with love and heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Sandra Birnie. Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband George, daughters, Llisa and Kyla, mother Anne, sister Carol and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters-in-law. She will also be greatly missed by her many friends. Sandra was predeceased by her father Carl, who passed away in 1993. She will be remembered as a warm, caring and generous soul who always thought of others first. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Sandra and George were married in January 1972. In the years that followed they had two daughters, Llisa and Kyla. Sandra devoted her life to her family. She will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 7 at 1:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with Rev. Jeff Cook officiating. A memorial donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6, would be an appreciated tribute to Sandras generous, thoughtful nature.
