ELGIN CRAMER Peacefully at the Baldur District Hospital on Monday, August 2, 2004, Mr. Elgin Cramer of Belmont, MB passed away at the age of 73 years. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Mildred (Mid) (nee Campbell) three children, Lee (Tim) Greig of Dauphin, Grant (Peg) Cramer of Cochrane, AB and Birk (Terri) Cramer of Winnipeg; and two granddaughters, Quinlan and Taryn Greig. He also leaves to mourn his brother-in-law Ian (Brenda) Campbell and nephews Scott and Steven Campbell. Elgin was born and raised in Baldur, MB, the much loved son and only child of Eddie and Myrtle Cramer. Raised on the familys farm and educated in Baldur, he left the community in 1950 to join the Canadian National Railway as a telegrapher. In his capacity as an agent/operator he enjoyed the opportunity of working and living with his family in several different communities in Manitoba and Saskatchewan before deciding to retire in 1984. Although Elgin resided with his family in a number of different villages, towns and cities over the years, some more than once, Baldur remained first and forever, home. Therefore, once retired, Elgin and his wife, Mid returned to the area they were both raised, settling first at their cottage at Pleasant Valley, then later in Belmont. Funeral services will be held at the Baldur Cemetery on Thursday, August 5 at 2:00 p.m. with Marianne Olfrey officiating. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Baldur District Hospital. Adams Funeral Home of Notre Dame, Manitoba in care of arrangements. Phone 1-888-400-2326. www.afh.ca
