GEORGIANNA BOUVIER (nee DUPONT) Peacefully, Georgianna Bouvier passed away at the Pine Falls Hospital on Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at the age of 81 years. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 61 years, Emmanuel; sons, Roger (Joanne), George and Maurice; daughters, Pauline (Steve), Louise and Lucie (Carl) grandchildren, Jacqueline (Glenn), Joel (Heather), Matthew, Leanne, Ashley and Cameron; and great-grandchildren, Emily and Jeremy. She will be greatly missed by her brothers, Ernest (Maria), Honore (Lea) and sisters, Delina Challe, Delvina Chevrefils, Helen Wilcott (Omer) and Therese Dupont; sisters-in-law, Hermine, Marcelle and Germaine Dupont. She was predeceased by a son Joseph; her parents, Ozias and Rosianne Dupont; brothers, Ted, Cyril, Wilfred and Alexis; and sister Lea; brothers-in-law, Armand Challe, Roland Dubois, Julien Levesque, Zephir Chevrefils; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Belle). Born in St. Georges on July 13, 1923 Mom attended Allard and Dupont School in St. Georges. She left school at an early age to help out at the family home. Mom and Dad lived 61 years in the family home in St. Georges. After raising her family, Mom put her cooking skills to work at Clarks Corner, The Wheel Inn and 15 years at the Pine Falls Hospital as head cook. Upon their retirement, Mom and Dad enjoyed several holidays in Hawaii, Florida, Maritimes and Las Vegas. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, memere and great-memere, Mom was an avid sports fan, playing baseball well into her 50s. Mom also enjoyed bingo, playing cards and was a great supporter of her community. Mom was a founding member of the St. Georges Community Club and a loyal supporter of her church. The family acknowledges all the assistance given to Mom over the past year, including the doctors and nursing staff at the Pine Falls Hospital, Home Care staff, and close friends and family who assisted Mom during her illness. Prayers will be held on Friday, August 6, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Georges Roman Catholic Church. Funeral Liturgy will commence at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. F. Rejean Belanger officiating. Service will terminate at the church. There will be no public viewing. Flowers are gratefully declined.
