Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryR.M. (BOB) McMURRAY R.M. (Bob) McMurray of Russell, MB passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 1, 2004 in Regina. Born on August 13, 1919. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, June and son Guy (Kimberly) of Oakville, ON; daughter-in-law, Kim of Regina, SK; grandchildren, Robyn and Amy McMurray of Halifax, NS, Becki (Scott) Thiessen of Winnipeg and Michael (Heather) McMurray of Meadow Lake, SK, as well as his sisters, Ruby Thompson and Donnie Miller of Winnipeg and brother Jim (Isabelle) McMurray of Bracebridge, ON. Predeceased by son Bill in April 2003; parents, William and Elizabeth McMurray and sisters, May Robertson, Rita McLean and Billy Berg. Bob served overseas during the Second World War as a rifleman with the Winnipeg Rifles, Little Black Devil Division. Upon his return to Russell, he starting selling insurance with Great West Life in 1948 and continued in general insurance (R.M. McMurray Ltd.) until his retirement in 1991. Funeral services will be held in Russell on Friday, August 6 at 3:00 p.m. at Knox United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be submitted to the Canadian Red Cross. Braendle-Bruce Funeral Service of Russell, MB, are in care of the arrangements.
