MARY MUNROE (nee ONYSKO) We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, baba, sister and aunt at Riverview Health Centre on July 31, 2004 at the age of 88. Mary is survived by her daughter Doreen and Al; grandsons, Wade and Roger; great-grandson Alexander; sister Jean and Charles Stewart and family; niece Joanne and Ray Laberge and family all of Winnipeg; sister Olga Parker and family of Crofton, BC; sister-in-law Genevieve Onysko and family of Ottawa, ON; as well as numerous wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Mary and George Onysko; her partner Bob Livingstone; brothers, Peter, Donald and William Onysko; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Anne Onysko, Joseph and Gay Onysko. Mary was born, educated and spent most of her life in East Kildonan. Her careers ranged from working at the Empire Hotel to repairing airplanes at TCA during the war and managing the Westinghouse Cafeteria. In later years, Mom happily spent her time with her grandson Wade. In the final years, Moms favourite times were family gatherings and trips to City Park and Lockport with her great-grandson Alex. Special thanks to Dr. Bertsch and to the special staff at Riverview 3E. A private family service was held at Korban Funeral Chapel with interment at Elmwood Cemetery on August 4. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of ones choice.
