ERIC AUGUST OLSSON Eric August Olsson passed away August 4, 2004, at his home in the Eriksdale Personal Care Home with his family by his side. Eric was born in Winnipeg, December 15, 1915, the third and youngest child of Olaf and Sara Olsson. He was predeceased by his parents; brother Ole; sister-in-law Victoria; sister Martha; brother-in-law Helge and nephew Gerald. He is survived by niece Janice (Ron) Appleyard of Sandy Lake and their family; and cousins, Margaret (Everett) Sidwall, Mildred Rae, Alvin (Faye) Goranson and their families. Eric farmed with his parents which was followed by school bus driving and doing farm labour for others. Eric loved people, especially little people. He filled his life with helping others. His caring and concerns for the people of his community kept him close to home all his life. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10 at the Eriksdale Recreational Centre with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the Recreational Centre. Interment to follow in the Nord Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ron and Janice Appleyard, Glen Kingsley and Phil Beckman, Randy Surgenor and Alvin Goranson. The family is grateful to all the staff at the E.M. Crowe Health Centre who cared for and about Erics well-being. Thank you to the very special staff at Eriksdale Personal Care who surrounded Eric with love and compassion. Thank you to Pastor Bill Watson and Erics church family for meeting all his needs. Thank you to the community of Eriksdale for making the place Eric called home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eriksdale Personal Care Home, to the Eriksdale Hospital Guild, in care of Gail Holmes, P.O.
