RUTH LILLIAN WERBIN August 29, 1929 - August 5, 2004 Peacefully, in the early morning hours of August 5, 2004, Ruth passed away at Riverview Health Centre. She fought a valiant and determined battle against cancer and retained her feisty sense of humour to the end. Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband William in July 2002 whom she has missed terribly over the past two years. A joyous reunion is fully expected! She was also predeceased by her parents, Harry and Edith Boddis and her brother James Boddis. Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Carla Einarsson (Eric), Janice Campbell (Tom) and son Brent Baldwinson (Ev) her grandchildren, Sandra (Keith), Holly (Jack), Leah (Jared), Paul (Annie) and Jennifer. She felt blessed to get to know and love Graham, Evan and Rebecca, her three great-grandchildren who were all born in the last 18 months. She will be sadly missed by her brother Ken Boddis (Val) and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. In spite of her illness and even on days when most people would be curled up on the couch, she remained determined to get out everyday without fail. Her energy and determination were amazing. We will all miss her baking (especially her famous butter tarts!), Sunday dinners and her wonderful sense of humour. Ruth fought the good fight and can now rest in peace. We love you and will miss you with all our hearts. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at Riverview Health Centre (3E Palliative Care) for the kindness and care provided over the past six weeks and especially over the past few days. Mom asked that special mention be made of Helen, Marlene and Doctors Garcia and Crawford. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2V OB3 or charity of your choice.
