BESSIE (BERNICE) SOKOLOSKI On Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at the Tuxedo Villa Nursing Home, Winnipeg, Bernice Sokoloski passed away at the age of 77 years. She was born February 22, 1926, in Ladywood, MB. She moved with her family to Pine Falls in 1930. After a brief time living in Ontario during the war years she moved back to Pine Falls to work in the mill for a time, then on to Winnipeg. She worked as a post mistress at Donald Drugs at the corner of Donald and Broadway until the establishment closed. After a few more years of work at the Scientific Beauty School she took a welcome retirement. Bernice had many friends and acquaintances who will miss her. She was a member of the Coronation Rebecah Lodge #51 in Pine Falls and an associate member of the Sunshine Lodge in Winnipeg for many years. Her brothers Bill and Ollie and her sister Rose along with many nieces and nephews and cousins will miss her happy voice. Bernice was always the one that kept all the extended family aware of what was happening. She was the glue that kept us all in touch. She will be sadly missed. Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date. If friends so desire memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Winnipeg, MB.
