ANNE YAROSCHAK (BASARABA) Anne passed away peacefully on August 5, 2004. Anne is survived by her daughter Betty Olinkin (Stan) and son Dave Basaraba (Merlyn) of Calgary; grandchildren, David, Sandy (Todd), John and James; great-grandchildren, Dane and Teslin. She was predeceased by Andrew Yaroschak in 1971. Anne was born on February 25, 1912, in Rossburn, MB, to parents Basil and Nellie Shmyr. In her early years she worked as a sewing operator and caterer. Mom was a stylish, generous, great cook and energetic lady with a strong work ethic. "Mom, you were a great mother and grandma. You made the best perogies. We will miss you!" Special thanks to Irene Tataryn, Mildred and Hugh Whaley, family and friends for their support, also staff at the Bethania Personal Care Home. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Bethania Personal Care Chapel. A private interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.
