ROY NORMAN NESBY On August 6, 2004 at the Health Sciences Centre, Roy Nesby, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 77. Roy is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Helen; children, Thomas (Judy), Robert (Carol), Lynn (Don) and Terry; five grandchildren, Lisa, Karen, Lana, Tasha and Ryan; brother Russell and sisters, Gladys McIvor and Lois (Bob) Peterson; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Torger; mother Mabel; his siblings, Myrtle, Clarence, Richard and Violet. Roy was born in Transcona. He worked at Canada Packers for forty years as a Second Class Power Engineer until his retirement. He enjoyed carving, curling and baseball. Roy enjoyed travelling and loved to socialize with his friends in the community. The family would like to thank the hospital staff for their loving care and concerns they gave Roy. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, August 10 at 7:00 p.m. at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 847 St. Marys Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King, as well, with Rev. Fr. Renato Pasinato officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Roys memory to Christ the King RC Foundation or to the charity of ones choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
