Born: Jun 03, 1955
Date of Passing: Aug 06, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGRANT EARL YETMAN June 3 1955 - August 6 2004 Sadly on Friday, August 6, 2004 the passing of Grant Earl Yetman drastically altered the lives of so many people. Grant was a wonderful and generous person who took pride in absolutely everything that he did. This included the family business Yetmans Ltd. where he worked endless hours to ensure that everything was running smoothly. There is not an employee there that does not care for him and respect him. He was also a devoted member of St. Johns Sportsmens Club and took great pride in doing the cabin bookings and being involved with the club and all of its great members. Daddy loved to spend his extra time building jumps for my sport, equestrian so the other riders and I could continue to improve. Daddy had a dream of watching me compete at Spruce Meadows. Grant was such an amazing man who is loved and always will be loved by anyone who had the honour of getting to know him. Grant has had so many positive and amazing influences in so many peoples lives, always encouraging dreams and goals no matter how far-fetched they may seem, and having faith and encouraging words when those dreams seemed so far away. He never gave up on anything or anyone, and you could count on him for absolutely anything and he would never let you down. He was an extraordinary person and not to mention he was the best father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend that anybody could ever have dreamed of. He loved more than anything spending time with his family whether it was on a vacation in Florida, fishing in the Whiteshell with his dad or just sitting at home talking about anything there was to talk about. Grant will forever be missed by so many people. Grant is survived by his loving wife Mona, daughter Jaclyn (or J.R. as he liked to say), and family dog Lacey. As well as his two wonderful parents, Earl and Dolores; brothers, Norman (Lynne), and Keith; "Lil Sis" Carolyn (Mark) and his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his brother Glenn; grandparents, George and Norah Yetman and Norman and Doris Olson; Uncle Glenn; mother-in-law Freda; and brother-in-law Kas. Daddy O, you have a smile and laugh that could light up the very darkest of my days. You are beautiful. I love you and miss you so much. You are the best Daddy in the world and you always will be. I will forever remember all the good times that we had together and Ill look forward to more. Youre my hero and I love you. We all love you. XOXOXOXOXO (the Xs can be hugs and the Os can be kisses, just how you like it.) Celebration of life will be held Thursday, August 12, 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. with Rev. Debbie Voss officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Norman and Keith Yetman, Mark Rozmus, Geoff and Carl Olson, Brent Michaleski, Wayne Hinkel, and Larry Stefishen. I just found out about Grant passing from a Garden City website. He used to lend us his car to go cruising when we were just 16! He and Mona were like rockstars to us. - Posted by: Pamela Leco (Friend of his sister Carolyn) on: Jul 15, 2020
