N. BARRIE CLUBB It is with profound sadness and regret that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, dad, and grandpa, Barrie Clubb, aged 69 years, of Morris, at the Morris General Hospital on Saturday, August 7, 2004, after a long and valiant struggle with emphysema. His memory will forever be cherished by his wife of 47 years Vivian; daughters, Jo-Ann (Kim) Lewis, Heather (Fred) Peters, Michelle Boron (Tim Stapleton) grandsons, Steven (Jeryn) Peters and Michael Lewis. Barrie was born February 18, 1935 and raised in the Broadview area, and lived there most of his life. He was elevator agent in Brandon, drove truck for H.W. Construction in Morris, and highway transport for Abe Derksen (Reimer Express Lines). He decided to spend more time closer with his family, and began working for Lou Boaler Shell Agent. Barrie then purchased the Shell Bulk Agency from Lou Boaler, and remained there for many years. Barrie was very active in the community and truly enjoyed it. He was one of the original financial backers for the purchase of an ambulance for the town of Morris; a volunteer ambulance driver for many years; and volunteer fireman for 35 years for which he received a gold watch and ring. A position he cherished was being a Town Councillor for 16 and a half years. He served with the Morris Lions Club for many years as secretary and president. Barrie was predeceased by his parents, Ross and Bethe Clubb; brother James; and infant sister Iris. In accordance with Barries wishes, cremation has taken place and there is no formal service planned. A private celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Barrie has left us with a legacy of inner strength, perseverance, warmth, and love. His memory will live on in our hearts forever.
