ROY DENNIS MELANSON January 4, 1934 - August 6, 2004 Roy was born in Digby, NS, lived in Winnipeg, and the last 30 years in The Pas, MB. Roy worked for Wilkinson Trucking and Lake Shore Landscaping. Roy retired in 2002 so he could enjoy more hunting and fishing. Roy was predeceased by his son Dennis Melanson. Roy leaves to mourn, his companion Fran Gryba; his children, Dwight (Calgary, AB), Dean (Jacqueline), Dave (Peter), Lucy, (Chris) Markwick, Paul, Marc (Michelle), Bridget all from Winnipeg, MB; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; Frans daughters, Irene (Leo) Lemaire, The Pas and Sandra (Terry) Parlow of Brandon, MB. Also survived by Emma (Allard) Melanson, Linda, Debbie, Shane and Catherine and his mother of Digby, Lucille Amero Barton. A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday, August 10 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, The Pas with James Hemauer presiding. Interment will take place in Lakeside Cemetery, The Pas. If friend so desire, in lieu of flowers donations to the Crohns & Colitis Foundation of Canada N3035 - 431 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 9Z9 would be appreciated by Roys family.
