BLAIR DENNIS WILLIAM ROY Suddenly on Wednesday, August 4, 2004 in Winnipeg, MB, Blair Roy, beloved son of Maureen Roy of Portage la Prairie and William Roy of High Bluff, passed away at the age of 30 years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and reception will be held on Wednesday, August 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the Herman Prior Centre, Royal Road North, Portage la Prairie. Blair attended Portage schools and graduated from Arthur Meighan High School. Following school he worked for his Dad and at various locations in Winnipeg. For the past several years, Blair was employed at Argus Industries in Winnipeg. Blair valued the strong bond that he developed over the years with his close friends. He was a whiz at computers and loved his cat Lochi. Blair was predeceased by his grandparents, Gladys and Charles Ainslie, and Myrtle and Ed Roy, as well as his uncle Robert Ainslie and aunts, Jean Archer and Lorraine Dark. Besides his parents, Blair is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Ben Haegeman; his nephew Dylan and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. If friends so desire, contributions to the Canadian Mental Health Association - Winnipeg Region, 432 Ellice Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Arrangements are by: Ronald Moffit Memorial Services (204) 856-3487

  • I just heard about this. I knew Blair when we where children. I remember him as one of the smartest kids i ever knew. He introduced me to computers with a commodore vic 20. it is something that to this day i cannot hear about and not think of him. it is probably one of the reasons i took the path i did. its amazing that someone who you knew when you where 9 could influence you for the rest of your life.
