NICHOLAS EUGENE KOWALIUK Suddenly, on Sunday, August 8, 2004, Nicholas Kowaliuk passed away at Victoria Hospital at the age of 59. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Bernice; daughter Lori (Hoan) Mac; mother Lena Kowaliuk; brothers, John (Mona), Wally (Diane) sisters, Elsie (Joe), Diane (Bill), and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father George Kowaliuk. Nicholas worked at Canada Post for 30 years. He was also a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus. Nicholas was a dedicated member and youth leader of Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. Nicholas most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Special thanks to Bob and Maryann Winters. Prayers will be said Thursday, August 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, August 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 390 Marion St. with Rev. Fr. John Mostivsky presiding. Pallbearers will be brothers John and Wally Kowaliuk, brothers-in-law Maurice and Garry Dolynchuk, nephews Danny Kowaliuk and Curtis Berthlette. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or to Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 390 Marion St., Winnipeg, MB R2H 0V9.
