EDWARD ALFRED SOKALSKI Peacefully, with his loving family by his side, our dad and husband passed away on August 5, 2004. Ed will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Ardeen; daughter Monica (Scott) sons Derek (Janet) and Mike; grandchildren Janna, Courtney, Rayna and Shawn; brothers John (Karen), Tom (Francis) and Stan (Eileen) and many nieces and nephews and close friends. Dad was raised in Elkhorn, MB. At a young age he joined the Air Force and was posted to Gimli, MB. In 1955 her met and married Ardeen Dandy. He always cherished the time he spent at the Dandy farm. His employment with the forces transferred his family from Winnipeg, MB (in 1961) to Calgary, AB. to Trenton, ON. and back to Winnipeg, MB (in 1969), each time building a beautiful home for his family. After 20 years with the Air Force Dad decided enough moving, so he took early retirement. Dad then became employed with Air Canada. In later years he was fortunate to travel and see many different countries. Over the years, Dad was an avid golfer and loved playing for "snips"! He taught all of his children to golf and was always a strong supporter of all their sports. Eds unique sense of humour will be missed by many. Those at his block will always remember "Eds Rules". A private family service will take place. Donations may be made in memory of Ed to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Room 0N1 160, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. "Loving Memories Last Forever"
