M. VIERA (VERA) SHAVE Passed away peacefully Sunday, August 8, 2004, in Burnaby, BC. Born in Winnipeg, MB. Predeceased by her parents, Mary and Gejza Gajdosik; husband Glen; brother Kam Gajdosik; brother-in-law Ron Atkinson; and infant nephew Kyle Clouston. Viera is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Shantel and Tara; and their partners, Wayne and Innis; her best friend and partner Denny Finskars and his family; sister Blandina Clouston; and brother Joseph Gajdosik of Winnipeg; sister Joanna Atkinson of Toronto; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and extended family. Viera was very grateful to all for the many phone calls, e-mails, cards, and words of encouragement during her illness. The family extends its heartfelt thanks for the excellent care provided by Dr. Stuart and his staff at the Cancer Centre at Burnaby General, Dr. Voss, Dr. Genest, and the staff at Burnaby General Palliative Care and St. Michaels Hospice. In lieu of flowers, anyone so wishing may make a donation in Vieras memory to the Burnaby Hospital Cancer Centre, 3935 Kincaid St., Burnaby, BC V5G 2X6. And remember: "Youll never get to heaven if you dont die."
