Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRENDA FRASER (nee SADOWAY) October 8, 1949 - August 6, 2004 It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother Brenda at the age of 54 years. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rhonda, Tracy, Robert, Keith (Suzie), Christopher, daughter Kyla (Chris), grandchildren, Brandon, Keenan, Cole, Quaid and Quintal. Brenda was predeceased by her husband Barry Robert Fraser on August 22, 1998, and by her mother Vera in 1961, and her father John in 1991. She is survived by her brother Brent (Susan) Sadoway, and their three sons, Ryan, Jessie and Reid of Saskatoon. Brenda was born in Canora, SK in 1949. As a child, Brenda excelled with many different forms of artistic talents. She appeared on the CKOS Yorkton TV on several occasions to showcase her piano playing and singing. She was artistic in other ways as well. Along with being an exceptional singer, she loved to sketch and write poems. These skills are very evident in her children as well, which she took great pride in. She also studied ballet as a young girl. She met her husband Barry in Yorkton, where they eventually married. Together they had three boys, who were her reason for being. She dedicated her life to cleaning up after their little messes and making sure they were loved with several hugs and kisses every day. They lived the abundance of their adult lives in Gimli, MB, working side by side at North American Lumber. Together Brenda and Barry took part in several charitable organizations and were active Legion members. They gave all they could back to their community and were a well respected couple amongst all their peers. She was trying to help people all she could right until her untimely passing, recently enrolling in a mental health support worker program to help people struggling with various crippling mental illnesses. All of us were extremely proud of the fact that she wanted to pursue that avenue, and we gave her our full support. Many hearts are full of sorrow at this time, because she was a beautiful, unique woman, that cant be fairly described here in words. To know her was to love her. God bless you mom, we know you are in a better place. Funeral service will be held at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave. at Parr, on Friday, August 13 at 1:00 p.m. with interment at Brookside Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations will be accepted by the family for the purchase of a memorial marker or to The Meeting Place, 139 Smith St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1J5.
