Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTIM FUNK April 12, 1957 - August 7, 2004 We would like to share with you a brief glimpse of the life of an incredible man. A husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. A man who had a profound effect on so many lives. Tim was a man who lived life with passion. He dreamed big and then lived his dream. His love for simple things in life was evident to everyone. A good book, horseback riding on rainy days, sitting by a crackling fire, and never ending music, to mention a few. His interests were as diverse as the many facets of his personality. He was the strong silent type! A man of few words, but when he spoke, you listened. The more time you spent with him, the more you would discover all the hidden depths that made him so unique. Tim lived life at his own pace. He would spend the time required to get the perfect results that he had expected in all he did. Life was meant to be enjoyed, and he enjoyed life! Tim found true love in Karen, at the age of 13, and they were married seven years later. Tim and Karen shared 27 years of marriage together. Their lives were enriched by the birth of their two children, Shane and Jody Lynn. Tim had extra-ordinary courage and phenomenal strength with which he faced each and every challenge in life. This became increasingly evident in the last few months and weeks. His faith in God was unshakable, and in the most difficult times it was obvious that the prince of peace was reigning in his life. Tim was certain that all things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to his purpose. The facts of his circumstances did not change the truth of Gods word. Tims favourite kind of day was when the rain was falling and you could hear the thunder rolling across the sky. On just such a day, Saturday, August 7, at 11:30 p.m., in his home surrounded by family singing and in prayer, Tim was peacefully ushered into the presence of the Lord. We will miss you Tim. Being a man of integrity, Tims desire to be in good standing before God and man was of a high priority to him in a letter penned by his own hand, he left us this message; I have forgiven all people who have erred me, now walk in forgiveness and bless God for putting us together to cause each other to grow. Should there be someone that I have hurt in any way and during my living days have not asked your forgiveness, I do so now. I have prayed Gods blessing on you and asked God that we may see each other in heaven. Eph. 4:29-32+5:1-5 Tim is survived by his wife Karen; their son Shane; daughter and son-in-law Jodi Lynn and Steve Ginter; as well as his parents, Peter D. and Nettie Funk; three brothers, two sisters and their spouses and children, Ed and Lorna of Calgary, AB, Cliff and Yvonne Inscho of Grunthal, Mel and Brenda of Grunthal, Melinda and Dan Scheper of Steinbach, Barry and Chierie of Niverville, many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins to numerous to name.
