MARY PATRICIA WHEELER (nee McKITRICK) On Wednesday, August 11, 2004, Mary Patricia Wheeler passed away at the age of 89 years. She was born on January 30, 1915 in Crystal City, MB, the youngest child of Thomas George and Sarah Agnes McKitrick. Pat spent her employment years in Winnipeg, Crystal City, Roland and Killarney followed by her retirement in Lac du Bonnet and more recently in Winnipeg. She was an active member of the Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodges. Patricia married Robert Emmett Buckley in 1941 and is survived by her two children, Patricia June Kaan (David) and Warren James Buckley (Rilla). She has four grandchildren, Diana Kaan (Leonard Stern), Michael Kaan (Rozelle Srichandra), Tricia Buckley (Brock Grey) and Christopher Buckley; and four great-grandchildren, Avram and Sarah Stern, Maeve Kaan and Lauren Grey. Patricia is predeceased by her seven siblings and her second husband, Harry Wheeler. The family would like to express its gratitude to all the staff of Extendicare Tuxedo Villa, particularly those on Station 2, for their loving care during the 12 years Patricia lived there. In addition thank you to her companions Veda Venzon and previously, Nini De Denus. A celebration of Pats life will be held on Saturday, August 14 at 3:00 p.m. in the Windsor Park United Church, 1062 Autumnwood Dr. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Tuxedo Villa Sunshine Fund would be appreciated by the family.
