ANNIE MEDYNSKI (nee DEMIDIUK) On August 12, 2004, at Seven Oaks Hospital, Annie passed away peacefully with family at her side, into the loving arms of Jesus. She leaves to treasure her memory her loving daughters, Helen (Stan) Kowalski and Debbie (Mike) Safiniuk; grandchildren, Glenn (Michelle) Kowalski, Karen (Bill) Sparrow, Andrea, Ashley, and Adam Safiniuk; and great-granddaughters, Stephanie and Jessica Kowalski. She is also survived by two sisters Ruby (Bill) and Mary (Wayne) two brothers, Mack (Anne) and Peter; and in-laws, Peter and Maryann. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Annie was predeceased by her husband Joseph; parents; sister Leda; and brother Mike. Annie was born in Wolyn, Poland, on March 31, 1919, and then came to Canada in 1929, where her family resided in Saskatchewan. Annie relocated to Winnipeg in 1945 with her husband and daughter and remained in Winnipeg with her two daughters and their families for the rest of her life. Annie always placed others before herself and understood the importance of love, faith, family and friendship. To know her was to love her. All through Annies battles with her illnesses, she never complained or questioned "why her." She always held fast to her faith that God would see her through. She was truly an inspiration to us all. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 16 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Pastor Keith Eberhard. Viewing from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
