GENEVE MARY ROBERTS (nee BOYANOSKI) Our mother, grandmother and aunt Geneve passed away on June 11, 2004 in Calgary, AB following a brief illness. Geneve was born in Arborg, MB in 1917; the youngest daughter of Emil and Julia Boyanoski. After completing her high school education, she attended Success Commercial College in Winnipeg and went to work for Acklands, Canadian National Railways, and the T. Eaton Company as an accounting clerk. In her later years, she also worked for the Hudson Bay Company in a similar capacity. Geneve was married to Jim Roberts Sr. in 1950. In 1956, the family moved to Fort Garry, where Geneve lived until moving to Calgary in the fall of 2003. Geneve was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Jim Roberts Sr.; her brother Stanley Boyne; and her sisters, Victoria Smith and Wanda Whitehead. She is survived by her brother Frank Boyanoski of Brampton, ON; and her three sons, Jim Jr. (Jill) of Winnipeg, Bruce (Gwen) of Calgary, and John of Vancouver. She will be sadly missed by her three grandchildren, Brett, Erica and Christina Roberts of Calgary; as well as by her nieces, nephews and their families across Canada. Geneve took great pride in her home, her garden, and in the accomplishments of her children. She had many friends in the Fort Garry community, especially among the congregation at Fort Garry United Church, where she attended regularly for many years. In accordance with Geneves wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, August 19 at the Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Rd., with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Geneves memory to a charity of ones choice would be appreciated.
