ALBERT RICHARD GOLDING It is with great sadness and love that we announce the passing of Albert, who left us August 14, 2004 in the company of family members after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents, Marge and Ed Golding; brother David; sister Josie and father-in-law Wilson Strachan. Albert will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Grace; daughters, Kathy (Dave), Donna, Darlene (Barry), Noreen (friend Grant) sons, Ed (Barb), Jim (Wanda) and Rob (Charlene). Also left to mourn are brothers, Clarence, Brian (Arlette), Robert (Jan) and Aldin; mother-in-law Martha Strachan; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Ken James. Albert also leaves many nieces and nephews as well as 18 grandchildren. Albert was born in Winnipeg on March 20, 1937 and raised in Transcona. Albert, in his early years, was involved in Scouts Canada and received the Queens Scout award. Albert was committed and dedicated to the East End Community Club and with his fathers guidance was a key contributor to building the foundation that still is enjoyed by many today. Albert started work as an apprentice with CNR in 1953 retiring as a Painter in 1992 in the Transcona Shops. Alberts dream was to build a retirement home in his beloved Kenora area and he realized his dream allowing for many, many wonderful memories of his time there. In compliance to Alberts wishes and respect thereof, cremation without service has taken place.
