GEORGE HENRY JARVIS Suddenly on August 13, 2004, George passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 58 years. He was born in Beechville, NS, on July 20, 1946. George was predeceased by his father George; and his son-in-law Hensley. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Lil; his mother Ruby of Halifax; his children, Stephanie Wilson, George (Olga), Greg (Tania), Debbie Parisien (Dan), Robert Gariepy, Nicole Gariepy (Alex) his brothers and sisters all from Nova Scotia except for Larry, Patsy Crawford (Wilfred), Phillip (Teresa), Larry (Chrissy), Emilie Jarvis, Curtis (Beth), Bev Alfrink (Dave), Alfred (Darlene), Elsie Sampson (Mike), Roger (Theresa), Juanita MacDonnell (Allen) 15 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. George grew up in Beechville. At the age of 17 he joined the Military and served in the Armed Forces for 15 years. After George left the services he went to work for Reimer Express until the time of his passing. He was a very active member of the Rockwood ANAF 303, serving on the executive holding several positions. George was also on Provincial Command executive for Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. He was very active in many sports and took great pride in everything he participated in. George was a unique person who was loved and respected by all that knew him. George enjoyed life to the fullest and was always there to lend a helping hand to everyone. We love you and you will be greatly missed by family and friends. You will be in our hearts forever. A memorial service celebrating Georges life will be held on Friday, August 20 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rockwood ANAF 303, 341 Wilton Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Georges memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
