Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNETTE MARION (VERMETTE) 1919 - 2004 It is with great sadness that on August 14, 2004, at the St. Boniface Hospital, Annette Marion peacefully passed away at the age of 84 years. Born September 4, 1919 in St-Jean, daughter of Philippe Vermette and Bertha (Touchette). She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Louise (Roy), Diane (Peter), Angela (Terry) and son Albert; sisters: Agnes (SNJM), Fernande (M.O.), Irene (Gabriel) and brother Armand (Emilienne) sisters-in-law: Cecile, Emilienne, Agnes, Odile; grandchild: Denis (Lori) and great-grandchildren: Ashley, Kirsten, Erika. Predeceased by husband Victor Marion; brothers: Andre, Clovis, Ovide, Lucien, Roland, Gerard Jr., Gerard Sr. and sisters: Alice and Yvonne. Annette was born and raised on a farm near the Red River and since her marriage, has been living in St. Boniface. With her four children being in school, she has received in her household a total of 27 foster children, whom she loved like her own and kept them until they were adopted by families. She also babysat Christine and Stephane for many years and were like grandchildren to her. She worked nine years at St. Boniface Hospital as a Nurses Aide. After the death of her husband Victor, in 1989 she devoted 16 years of volunteering at Tache Centre caring for the elderly, sick and disabled. Annette always loved music and singing. She played the violin and participated in the choir at her parish. She also loved to knit for her family and the poor. We would like to extend special thanks to the personnel of Tache Centre for the many years of companionship and for the short time spent as a resident herself. Also, a special thanks for the kindness and compassion shown by the staff of St. Boniface Hospital within this last year. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 18 at 2:00 p.m. in eglise du Precieux-Sang located on Kenny Street. A gathering of friends and family will be held next door in the community centre immediately after the service. Burial will follow at Green Acres. In lieu of flowers, donations in Annettes memory may be made to Tache Centre (St. Boniface).
