WILLIAM IVEN JOHNSON Tragically, as a result of a car accident, on May 26, 2004, William Iven Johnson of Port Colbourne, ON, aged 73 years, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus. Iven is survived by his sons, David (Susan), Stephen (Kathy), Mark and daughters, Denise (Sam) Flintoff, Kathy and ten grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Doreen (Allan) Kneeshaw, Verna (Bob) Nelson, Marlene Knutson, Eleanor (Roy) Morrissey, Dorothy (Bill) Demedowich, Lillian Johnson and brothers, Leonard (Janet), Walter (Margaret), Harvey (Sharon) and Dale. He was predeceased by his father, mother and two sisters, Hazel Lickley and Audrey Burch. Iven was born in Transcona, MB and lived for many years on 310 Olive St. in St. James, before moving with his family to Ontario to operate a driving school. Iven was a very devoted father and grandfather - he loved his family dearly. Iven spent his life helping other people, whether it was his family, a friend, neighbour or members of the Church of Christ where he was a member for many years; he was always ready to help at any time. He was a very active member of the church and a well respected member of the community. Iven will be sadly missed by family and many friends and relatives. A memorial service will be held at the Church of Christ, 217 Osborne St. (at McMillan Ave.), 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 19. Interment of cremains will be in Brookside Cemetery.
