Her aunts, Justina Krajnc, Slavica Perus and their families; as well as numerous family members in Slovenia. She was predeceased by her mother Matilda Guzej on July 2, 2003. Silvia was born on November 25, 1950 in Celje, Slovenia. She arrived in Canada with her parents and her brother on October 9, 1957. Silvia was a Hair Stylist since she was 16 years old, and to her it was more than just a job. She loved the interaction and getting to know her customers, sharing advice and helping people with turmoil in their lives, sharing special events such as weddings and graduations. Silvia touched many peoples lives and developed special bonds. Silvia loved the times she spent with her family. Her trips to Grand Forks, renting a cabin at Grand beach, camping and fishing. Especially the times spent at her cabin at Sandy Hook, where she was grateful that her friends and family could come and spend the days with her. Some of the highlights of her life were her trip to Las Vegas with her daughter Tracy on her 50th birthday and her most recent trip to Dominican Republic with her special friend Ed Miguez. Silvia was renowned for the enjoyment she took in sharing email messages with her wide circle of friends, who will all dearly miss her daily jokes and goodwill. The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses for the care they provided for her. To my other mom; …I really don’t have words - which is probably why it’s taken me this long to write anything. I know you’re listening when I stop by your grave site, and again, that’s far to infrequently. I love you like my mom, you were always so kind, helpful, caring. All the qualities that I hold deepest, your family was my family. I keep this with me everyday. I never forget your example, your smile - and your birthday, because it’s the day before my actual mom’s bday - and my mom and dad are doing great…saw them today. I met your granddaughter a couple short years ago, it was powerful, an amazing kid - I have a granddaughter now - Thinking of you, Tracy, Jamie - and of course Mr W. Always.
