Rick, today is September 28th 2017. Its been over 13 yrs since we lost you, Its weird how the years are flying by so fast, yet at the same time, there's still days when it feels like I just talked to you yesterday. You would be so proud of our daughter. Desiree has grown into a beautiful, independent woman and is such a wonderful mother. Our grandson, Michael Richard Hourie (named after you) turned 5 years old in May and started Kindergarten this month! Oh Rick, he's absolutely adorable and has me wrapped around his little finger (just like you would be lol). I really wish he would have had the chance to get to know what a wonderful man his grandpa was. Des tells him stories about you and shows him pictures of you all the time. He knows exactly who you are whenever he sees your picture. He's such a beautiful, smart, well mannered little boy and he has the best sense of humor :) You would absolutely love him, he's so perfect ! I'm so grateful and still take so much comfort in knowing that you are watching over our daughter and grandson every day..... Syl - Posted by: Sylvia Hourie (ex common-law wife) on: Sep 28, 2017

Rick, I cant believe you've been gone 9 years. We became grandparents last year! I wish you could have been there to share that beautiful moment with us. You would be so proud of our daughter, she is such a great little mommy. I know you still walk beside us each day. I take comfort knowing that you are watching over our daughter and grandson and keeping them safe. always remembered Syl Syl - Posted by: Sylvia Hourie (ex common law wife) on: Sep 16, 2013

Brother... I miss you so much! The last four months have not been the same since you left us so suddenly on august 15th. That morning when I woke up to find your spirit had left and your body remained had taken my mind to other places. I dont understand how the creator could take you away the way he did. I do know that I love you and miss you so much and one day I will be with you and Mom in that reseting place, be patient ...we will be together one day again. - Posted by: Jessie McKay (Family) on: Dec 28, 2004
