JOHN A. DUNLOP BURROWS (JACK) December 16, 1912 - August 17, 2004 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jack at Victoria General Hospital at age 91. He was predeceased by his dear wife Rhoda; two sisters, Jean of Winnipeg, Mihaile of Ontario; his parents, Janet and Andrew. Jack will be lovingly remembered by niece Lee MacLeod (Don) of Ontario; great-nephews, Ross and Alex; nephew Lon Palmer of Ontario; nephew Barry Hemenway of New Westminster, BC; lifelong friends, Beryl McDiarmid and Geraldine Lane of Winnipeg, Ralph McDiarmid (Lynn) and family of Victoria, BC, Chris Lane (Connie) and family of Regina, SK. He was employed by both the CPR and CNR as an accountant. He enjoyed attending with his longtime friend Jim McDiarmid the years annual reunion of former employees of the CPRs Royal Alexandra Hotel. Jack will always be remembered for his sense of humour, infectious laugh, phenomenal memory and his beautiful singing voice. The family and Geraldine Lane extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Dr. M. Jain for her compassion and caring. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at a later date.
