HAZEL WEBSTER It is with much sorrow that the family of Hazel Webster announces her passing on Wednesday, August 18, 2004, aged 97 years, at the Grace General Hospital. Mother was predeceased by her loving husband, Bert in 1997; brothers, Alfred and Harvey Gray; sister, Georgina Hyndman and brother-in-law Bill; sisters-in-law, Marie Gray and Ruby Gray; and son-in-law, Bob Randolph. She will be deeply missed by her loving children, son, Keith (Helen) daughters, Heather Webster and Sheila Randolph; grandchildren, Scott Webster, Karyn (Will) Pegler, Jason (Natalia) Randolph, and Christopher Randolph. Her loss will also be felt by her great-grandchildren, Kyle, Darian, Sierra and Justin. Mother is also survived by her nieces, Audrey (Bert) Dawson, Beverley-Ann (Ron) Coveney, Lorraine (Gary) Gray, and nephew Arnold (Norah) Gray; as well as several cousins. Mother was born June 24, 1907 to Jane and Charles Gray, at the home of her maternal grandparents, Isabel and Alfred Strachan in the Scotia District of the Municipality of Hamiota, Manitoba. She received her education in Crandall, Manitoba, later moving to Winnipeg where she was employed at the T. Eaton Co. until her marriage to Bert on August 3, 1934. They were life-long residents of Winnipeg, having had homes on Arlington, Ingersoll and Ainslie Streets. Following her marriage, Mother became a full-time homemaker, focusing on her family and becoming an active member of her community. In earlier years, she was a member of Harstone United Church. As her years progressed, she coped with the loss of her eyesight and expressed her wish that should friends so desire, donations in her memory be made to the C.N.I.B., 1080 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3G 3M3. Our family wishes to express our heartfelt thanks to the Home Care staff who so lovingly cared for Mother during the last two years. Special recognition and appreciation go to Dr. Colin Fletcher of the Assiniboine Clinic who worked so closely with our family in providing such excellent care. Viewing will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 26 at Chapel Lawn, followed by a gathering of family and friends in Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Interment at Brookside Cemetery. We will miss you Mom. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME 885-9715
