VIOLET HILDEGARDE EVANS (nee THORELL- ANDERSON) September 10, 1915 - August 23, 2004 Peacefully on Monday, August 23, 2004 Violet passed away at the Victoria Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Ray, sister Mildred, mother Emma Christina Anderson, stepfather Oscar Anderson. Vi is survived by her sister Elvy Foubert (Ray) nephew Randall Foubert (Marie) daughter Renee (Joel) niece Alison Dery (Bob) sons, Vince (Jaimie) daughter Jayden, Roger (Brandie), Curtis (Tanya) daughter Kyarra along with many other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Vi spent almost 30 years working with the Manitoba Queens Printers. After retirement Vi devoted much of her time volunteering for many organizations and very generously donated to many charities. Vi had a wonderful sense of humour and was a very warm, caring and loving person with everyone she knew. Many enjoyable and entertaining years were spent at the cottage in Berens Lake. In accordance with Vis wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial service will take place at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, on Friday, August 27 at 11:00 a.m. A private family interment will take place at St. Vital Cemetery. Our special thanks to the staff at Vista Park Lodge and the Victoria Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in Vis memory to a charity of your choice.
