DAVID GORDON WILSON McCLUNE On Friday, August 20, 2004, David McClune, beloved husband of Dorothy, unexpectedly passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 62 years. Besides his loving wife of 39 years, David is survived by daughter Shan (Kevin) son Gordon; grandchildren, Cameron, Jennifer, Kyle and Stephen; brothers, Tom, Robert and Jim; sisters, Margaret and Jean; and numerous relatives in Scotland. He will also be greatly missed by their dog Charlie who enjoyed their daily walks in the park. David was born in Glasgow, Scotland on July 29, 1942 and married Dorothy on March 11, 1965 in Bangor, North Wales. They immigrated to Canada and settled in Winnipeg in 1974 where they raised their children and made many friends. David was a doting father and grandfather and will be remembered for his generosity and hard work ethic. He was an iron worker for 44 years. He never forgot his roots and supported his family in anyway he could. He also instilled in his children and grandchildren a pride in their Scottish heritage. We are very grateful to friends and family for their support. As well thank you to the staff at both the Grace Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre who attended our father daily. It was a great comfort to our family. A celebration of Davids life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 26 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. All who knew him are welcome.
