Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUSSELL PERKINS Peacefully on Monday, August 23, 2004, Henry Russell Perkins passed away at the age of 88 years following a courageous battle with Alzheimers disease. Born in Dauphin, MB, Russ had been a Winnipeg resident since the age of seven. He served his country overseas as a proud member of the Princess Patricias Canadian Light Infantry from 1939 to 1945. Following the war he worked 27 years for Canada Post. Russ is survived by Bessie, his loving wife of 64 years; his son Garth; daughter-in-law Sheila; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Emily; brother Barry; sister Lois; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Russell in 1983 and by his sisters, Elsie, Orla, Floris, Ruth, Norma, Shirley and Eleanor. The family wish to express their sincere appreciation to the Poseidon Care Centre, second floor nursing unit, for their compassionate care. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 3 at St. Michaels All Angels Anglican Church, 300 Hugo St. In lieu of flowers, donations in Russells memory may be made to St. Michaels All Angels Anglican Church, R3M 2N7.
