HENRY SINGA It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father and grandfather Henry, on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at the Oakview Place Nursing Home at the age of 92 years. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Marlene and husband Terry Phillips; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Ryan and Scott (fiancee Andrea), all of Calgary; brother Jim (Jennie) of White Rock, BC; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great-nephews, relatives and friends. Henry was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Martha in 1996; his parents, Wojtko and Mary; brothers, Mike and John; and sisters, Elsie and Lena. Henry had been employed for 40 years with Mitchell Consolidated Stores Ltd. as a Building Superintendent until his retirement at the age of 73. He loved all children, animals and was willing to help anyone who needed him. Henry loved being outdoors and working in his garage doing carpentry, plumbing or electrical projects. He loved to garden which was noticeable by the substantial number of flowers in his yard. Henry enjoyed hunting, fishing or anything else that took him to the country. On Monday, August 30 at 12:30 p.m. Henrys graveside service will be held in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. For those wishing to attend, please gather at the entrance of the Cemetery at 12:15 p.m. Henrys memorial service will then follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Oakview Place Nursing Home, 2395 Ness Ave. Our family wishes to express our thanks to the staff at Oakview Place, especially 3 North for taking care of Henry over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations in Henrys memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. "Thanks for the years you gave us, For the good times that we shared, We only pray that when you left us, You knew how much we cared. God Bless you, we will miss you."
