CLIFFORD VELEY February 28, 1936 - August 23, 2004 Surrounded by his family Cliff passed from this life to walk through Heavens Gates with his family by his side singing Amazing Grace. Our hearts are heavy as we announce his sudden passing but we hold onto the assurance of seeing him in Heaven one day. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Hazel Veley; sister Ida Veley; and sister-in-law Arlene Veley. He leaves to mourn his wife of 48 years Elvi Veley; his daughters, Joan Lorencas, Glenda and Derek Ploegman, and Corinne and Dave Robinson; grandchildren, Rae-Ann, Kristen, Melissa, Stephen, Naomi, Jaimie, Daniel and Roselyse; his brother Allen and Shirley Veley of Thunder Bay; his sister Lenore and Mogens Andersen of Kakabeka Falls, ON; his brother Archie and Margaret Veley of Thunder Bay; and his cousin Melvin and Edna Hogan of Thunder Bay, whom he considered his other brother; his uncle Gordon and Kay Veley of Seaforth, ON and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cliff was born and raised on the family homestead in Murillo, ON, on the very road that has since been named Veley Lane. He met and married Elvi in Port Arthur, ON where they began their lifes journey together. In 1973 he moved his family to Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Calvary Temple Camp. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Buntain Chapel of Calvary Temple, Saturday, August 28 with a viewing one half hour prior to service. A private family internment to follow Monday, August 30 at Mennonite Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler Ave. @ Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
