Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLINDA WIEBE (nee SCHNELL) April 25, 1933 - August 23, 2004 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Linda. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Darlene (Al) Spence and Bonnie (Ron) Carter. Also left behind to mourn her passing are her grandsons, Kelly (Tracy) and Trevor Spence, and great-grandson, Lachlan. Linda was predeceased by her husband, Leonard, in 1988. Lindas pride and joy was her family. She was a fantastic mother and grandmother. Linda was an avid baseball player in her youth and enjoyed watching her grandsons games. She touched many people lives as she always saw the best in all around her and never hesitated to speak with people as though they were lifelong friends. The viewing will take place at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons St. on Friday, August 27 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28 at the Greenridge United Church in Greenridge, MB. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Bowerman and the health care professionals at Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora, ON. Linda reached out to me when she didn't have to. It was very kind of her. It meant a lot to me. It also showed how she had evolved over time. It is something we should all strive for to have a deeper understanding of life and ourselves. - Posted by: Shirley Hiebert (friend) on: Aug 04, 2025
