Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGILBERT JOSEPH CHEVREFILS September 4, 1942 - August 25, 2004 It is with great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our brother Gil in Prince George, BC. He was predeceased his by father George in 1979; and mother Lucienne in 1985. He leaves to mourn his passing his sisters, Yvette David, Adele Kulbaba and Diane Daignault (Chico). He is also survived by his nieces, Diane, Brenda, Sherry and Nichole; his nephews, Rick, Michel and Rob; and his great-nieces, Stephanie, Brittany, Randene and Janna; and stepnieces, Kristen and Skye. Gilbert was a kind and honest man with a great sense of humour. He had a 30 year career with the Department of Transportation. He started his career as an electrician in northern Manitoba. He moved to British Columbia over 25 years ago as an electrical supervisor at the Airports in Terrace and Prince George. He retired from the Department of Transportation 2002 but continued to work at the Prince George Airport on contract with Northern Electric. Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, MB. A celebration of his life will be held by a funeral mass Wednesday, September 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the Notre Dame du Lac Roman Catholic Church in Lac Du Bonnet, MB. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Rick Blom, Michel Daignault, Rob Daignault, John Sauer, Scott Chabluk and family friend Comrie Klevin. The honorary pallbearers will be his nieces, Diane Sauer, Brenda Blom, Sherry Kulbaba and Nicky Chabluk. On behalf of Gils memory, a donation may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
