Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNEST (MEL) BORLAND Peacefully on August 24, 2004 Ernest Melvin Borland passed away at the age of 79. Mel is reunited with his parents Christina and Ernest as well as his brother Robert (Bob) who passed away in 1997. Mel was the funeral director of Doyles Funeral Home in Carman, Manitoba for years before moving to Winnipeg and changing careers in Winnipeg. Mel was employed with the Provincial Government with Postal Services of which he had wonderful fond memories. Mel will be missed but not forgotten by his niece Tracy McCreary (Borland) and her husband Terry and their son Justin, nephew Scott and sister-in-law Dolores, as well as dear friend Roger Lovett. The family wish to express their gratitude to the Convalescent Home of Winnipegs wonderful staff and to the caring staff of Victoria Hospital. Cremation has taken place and following Mels wishes there will be no funeral service. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to Voyage Funeral Home.
