Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOUGLAS STUART HARVEY It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Dad, Poppy, Granddad and Great-Granddad on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at Concordia Hospital. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years Marjorie (nee Simpson) his parents, and 13 brothers/sisters. Dad will be lovingly remembered and very sadly missed by son Percy and wife Carol, grandchildren, Dana (Jeff) Nease, Scott (Cherie), great-grandchildren, Jaci and Jackson, all of Calgary, AB; son Graham and wife Jeanne, grandchildren, Tyler and Cory; daughter Debbie and husband Barry Evans, grandchildren, Chelsea, Reed and Brooke. Dad is survived by many relatives in the United Kingdom, too numerous to mention, also family in the United States, Kelowna, BC and Winnipeg. Dad was born on November 1, 1916 in Kingsley, Cheshire, England. After serving with the R.A.F. and R.C.A.F. in the Second World War, he settled in Winnipeg. Dad worked for the C.N.R. for 35 years, retiring in 1981. Dad was a loving husband, father and grandfather, always putting his family first. He was a good provider and hard worker. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at St. Saviors Church, Munroe Avenue and Grey Street on Friday, September 10 at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Richard Condo officiating. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. A. Kong for taking such good care of Dad over the years and never giving up on him. Also thank you to the staff of N1 North of Concordia Hospital for all their kindness. "Rest in peace Dad, your struggles are over, We will always love you."
