Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGINA IRENE ORMISTON (nee GUEST) November 10, 1944 - August 27, 2004 On Friday, August 27, 2004, Gina Ormiston past away at the age of 59 years. She died at home with family and loved ones always near. Ginas strength and courage throughout a short battle with cancer never faltered. A daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and artist, Gina was constantly creating, giving and sharing her love. Her talents were undeniable and she always gave to others selflessly. She cherished the time she spent with family and friends at gatherings and at the cottage. Gardening and decorating were among her many passions. Gina leaves behind husband Rob, sons Chris and Mike Mason, parents George and Irene Guest, sister Alice, four step daughters Sarah, Andrea, Kendra and Christine, two beautiful daughters-in-law Paulette and Trish, precious grand daughters Kya and Ali and another grandchild on the way. I want to thank Mike and Chris who couldnt possibly have been more supportive to me and better sons to their mother. Thanks to Andrea for all her help with driving, shopping and for getting up every morning at 6:00 a.m. to keep watch. Thanks to two very special friends Dave and Kathy who were there from the beginning to offer help, and Alice for bringing Mom and Dad over. Thanks to friends, neighbors Dorothy and Carol and all the wonderful home care workers especially Thor and Pricilla for their kindness, compassion and generosity to both Gina and our family. I love Gina more today than ever before. Now I see clearer how much Ive lost. Her wisdom, her strength, and her beautiful smile will live within me forever. Life is very precious and Im ever thankful I was able to share nine years of them with Gina but so very sad its over. Rob. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Road. Gina will be remembered forever, with love.
