MABEL I. PEARSON Suddenly, on Thursday, August 26, 2004 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Mabel Pearson, aged 82 years, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She is survived by her children, son Terry (Marcia) and daughter Maureen (Daniel) grandchildren Lisa (Dan), Chris (Becky), Jennifer (Ryan), Aaron and great-grandson Dylan. She was predeceased by her husband Garnet. Mabel was born in Calgary on April 28, 1923. She moved to Manitoba in the 1930s where she met and married Garnet in 1942. They were married for 50 years until his passing in 1992. Mabel was an active member of Christ Anglican Church, Selkirk and the Gordon Howard Seniors Centre. She enjoyed the company of many friends and over the years dinners, card playing and travelling brought her great pleasure. Prayer will be said Monday, August 30 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 31 at 1:30 p.m. in the Christ Church, Selkirk with The Rev. Canon Bryan D. Bjerring officiating. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to the charity of ones choice.
