MARCEL ROBERT DION May 1, 1930 - August 27, 2004 Our beloved husband and father passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on Friday, August 27, 2004. Marcel is survived by his wife of 47 years Cecile; two children, Jacqueline and Marc. NOncle also leaves to mourn his passing Joey Baloun, his very special godchild Michele McIntosh, his smiling angel Nicole McIntosh, many nieces, nephews and "adopted grandchildren". Marcel was devoted to his family. He thoroughly enjoyed his retirement, wintering in Arizona and golfing throughout the summer with his buddies in Manitoba. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre. A special thank you to Dr. Oppenheimer, Dr. Tan and the dedicated SICU team. Their kindness and compassion for Marcel and his family was greatly appreciated. Prayers and viewing will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St., on Tuesday, August 31 at 7:00 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held at St. Timothys Church, 135 John Forsyth on Wednesday, September 1 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date. Honorary pallbearers are his best buddies Vince Ritchie, Maurice Gendron, Paul Rivard, Paul St. Onge, Rene Fillion and Leo Mondor.
