MRS. LESLEY BENSON Tragically taken from us on August 18, 2004 Mrs. Lesley Benson 72, beloved wife of Richard Marvin Benson passed suddenly in a motor vehicle accident. Private memorial services were held on Friday, August 20, 2004 at the Eagle Church of the Nazarene. She was born Edith Ada Lesley King Sept. 30, 1931 second daughter of Aubrey Kitchener King and Margaret Colville Williamson King in Winnipegosis, Manitoba, Canada. She was raised and educated in Fork River, Manitoba leaving to work in Winnipeg where she met and married Marvin. They later resided in San Jose, CA, San Ramon, CA and Pleasanton, CA before retiring in Star, ID. She leaves her grieving husband and family, Shirley Chu of Seedro-Woolley, WA, Bryan & Diane Benson of Winnipeg, Canada, Lorraine & Dale Hershey of Boise, ID, Diane & Paul Golden of Pleasanton, CA, Terry & Terri Benson of Meridian, ID, Ed Benson of Livermore, CA, Ken & Zane Benson of Livermore, CA, Patricia & Ron Jones of Pleasanton, CA; her grandchildren, Adam Chu, Lisa Chu-Greenough, Amy & Angie, Sarah Chouinard, Daniel, & Whitney Hershey, Dawn Golden, Joshlin Benson-Rowe & Jessica Benson, Brandon, Ricky & Shaelyn Benson, Rebecca & Timmy Littlejohn, Erik & Robert Benson, Danny, Ronnie & Kaitlyn Jones; her great-grandchildren Kalia, Kailar, Ethan, Nicholas, Kaylene, Johnnie, Jacob & Alyxandrea Emanuel Lesley is also survived by her brothers, William King and James King; sisters Margaret Sheridan, Edna Schick, and Willa King. She was predeceased by her parents and one brother, Brian. Her husband, children, grand children and great-grandchildren were her greatest treasures; each had special attention and memories. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker and friend. She delighted in crafts, oil painting, scrap booking, stamping, family, Church and Bible study. She always had kind words to say about everyone; and forever will be close in spirit to her loved ones.
