Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE KIPPEN Peacefully on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at the Carman Memorial Hospital, George Alexander Kippen, aged 90 years old, our husband, Dad, Grandfather, Great-grandfather died after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Dad was predeceased by two sons, Kenny and Barry; his parents, Duncan and Jessie Kippen; three sisters, Vera Kippen, Mrs. Jessie Carroll, Mrs. Jean Neiles; two brothers, Gordon and Duncan Kippen and Harry Amison. Dad is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eileen; one daughter, Wendy; three sons, Glen (Delilah), Michael (Sandra) and Darryl Kippen. He is also survived by two daughter-in-laws, Betty and Bev Kippen; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; Victor and Vivian Amison; sister-in-law, Mrs. Donna Kippen; one sister Mrs. Elizabeth Heaman; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Dad was born in the Boyne District on September 24, 1913. After marrying in 1942, he farmed in the Carman area until 1975. After retirement he was involved in community activities. He enjoyed camping, curling, lawn bowling, travelling, and fishing. Dad was a regular at the Carman Community Active Living Center. He will be missed by his family and friends. Funeral service will be held from the Carman United Church on Monday, August 30, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Catherine Waldie officiating. Interment will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery, Carman, MB. Memorial donations may be made to the Carman Active Living Center, Box 2224, Carman, MB. R0G 0J0, if friends so desire.
