FRANCESCO (FRANK) MASI With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Francesco (Frank) Masi on Friday, August 27, 2004 at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 71. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Caterina; son Joe Masi (Sandra Simmons) daughters, Mirella (John) St. Jean and Gina (Todd) Rooker and grandsons, Marc and Ryan St. Jean and Nicholas Rooker. Frank is also greatly missed by brother-in-law Ralph (Fiorina) Aiello; father-in-law Giuseppe Aiello and many nephews, nieces, family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Maria Masi; mother-in-law Gaetania Aiello and sister Rosalia and brother-in-law Cesare Sheba. Frank was born April 6, 1933 in Amato, Italy. In 1961, he immigrated to Canada with his wife Caterina and three year old son Joe. Over the years, Frank worked as a maintenance mechanic for Perths Dry Cleaning, Aqua Mechanics, and Canada West Shoes. With the gift of a technical mind, he always had a fix-it plan and the right tool for the job. The family cabin at Beaconia was a perfect example of his imagination and skills and he and Caterina and their family spent many enjoyable summers there. Frank is remembered for his entertaining stories, no-nonsense manner and the way his face lit up when he talked about his grandsons. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the St. Boniface Hospital for their care, kindness and understanding. Prayers will be said on Monday, August 30 in Holy Rosary Parish, 510 River Ave. at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 31 in Holy Rosary Parish at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev.
